“To theologize with your kids does not mean you are to throw an occasional Scripture verse that relates to the topic at hand. Rather, it means that every day, in every way possible, to embed the story of your teenager in the larger story of God. Kids desperately need to see the larger story. They need to see their lives as part of something that is bigger and more important than their own happiness. They need a glory to hook into and live for that is bigger than their own glory. They need their story embedded every day in the story of God. This will give them hope. This will give them strength to endure what God calls them to endure.”
